Life Changes hosts a healing session for clients

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) — This is one of the most restorative activities that our partner Pillar Life Changes offers to clients, it’s called a resentment burn.

“Every day is a battle, but I wake up and try to do my best, explains Krista Griener. She knows the antagonistic fury that accompanies resentment, as she fights against it in her relationship with her mother, as she details, “I always felt like she put drugs and money before us kids and I tried to develop a relationship with her, but she’s kind of my biggest trigger, so there is an obstacle there.

So she showed up at one of the Life Changes properties that house clients to participate. Griener has been to jail twice but just finished his TMCC application, letting his bad choices from the past…go away like ashes.

“I’ve been on the streets, running and shooting, I’ve done all that and it’s just restless, you’re tired and once you really commit to it and you really want it, you know, it’s worth it in the end because you don’t have to look over your shoulder anymore and you live a happy life, says Jordan Coleman He was employed as a house manager for the association in non-profit for three years. But he knows the struggles of drug addiction all too well, adding: “We resent a lot of it from our childhood, everyone has a different story but something I had to let go of was , I had to step it up and be a man, I had to stop beating myself up, I had to stop making excuses. It’s not an easy life, it’s not an easy world to live in and we all see it as an escape and an excuse.

This story is not about a call for services or donations, although your generosity will always be helpful in continuing the mission of helping men and women move on from their pasts of sex trafficking, incarceration, homelessness or abuse. other circumstances. This report is about looking within…healing past or present trauma and pursuing your highest potential.

“We also have younger guys in the program and it gives me the opportunity to show them that you now you don’t have to go back there and even at a young age you can pull yourself together and then a lot older guys also look up to me for helping figure this stuff out, so that’s a blessing for sure,” Coleman told KOLO 8.

The flames take everything away. This is a reminder that any time is a wonderful time to change your life for the better.
