Lafarge Africa Plc to pay shareholders final dividend of N1.6 billion

Lafarge Africa Plc will pay shareholders a final dividend of 100 kobo per unit of its 50 Kobo ordinary shares, or 1.610 billion naira, the manufacturing company announced on Tuesday.

Lafarge Africa said the dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names appear on its register of members at the close of business on April 1.

The register will be closed from April 4 to April 8 to allow the payment of the dividend on April 22.

The company said dividends will be paid to shareholders who have completed electronic dividend registration and instructed the Registrar to pay their dividends directly to their bank accounts.

“E-dividend registration shareholders who have not yet completed e-dividend registration are encouraged to download the Registrars’ Electronic Dividend Mandate Activation Form,” he said.

“Dividend shareholders with dividend warrants and share certificates that are unclaimed or have not yet been presented for payment or returned for validation are urged to complete the electronic dividend record or contact the Registrar.”
